Gregg Goldston has taught workshops across the globe while touring his One Mime Show. In 1980, he founded The Goldston Schools for Mimes, a two to six week Summer Intensive for Mime based in Gambier, Ohio. The School, which was later renamed The Goldston & Johnson School for Mimes and is now titled The School for Mime Theatre) hosted five Marcel Marceau Seminars, countless Summer Performances and taught students from around the world, has just celebrated its 30th Anniversary...!
Throughout his career Gregg Goldston has coached Physical & Stand Up Comedians, Film Actors, and Ballet & Modern Dancers. He has directed word based productions and several One-Person Solo Shows that are text based. He was Mime Coach for Anne Hathaway for the film: "Ella Enchanted" and for Julie Harris for a stage play. In 2008, Gregg Goldston and Bartlomiej Ostapczuk founded a Summer Intensive titled The School for Modern Mime at Teatr Na Woli in Warsaw, Poland. Based upon the School for Mimes program this Intensive integrates the Polish style with the choreographic teaching structures Goldston has developed since teaching in Ohio. The Summer Intensive works in association with the International Mime Art Festival held at the Teatr Na Woli each August, (Bartlomiej Ostapczuk is the Artistic Director of the Mime Art Festival) and the faculty and Students of the program present an evening of mime in the Festival's Series. TWO-WEEK SUMMER INTENSIVE (First two weeks of August) Gregg also recommends Richmond Shepard's Saturday morning class: Richmond Shepard (Gregg's first mime teacher) teaches a One and a Half hour class every Saturday from 11:00 - 12:30.
