SUMMER CLASSES - 2010 DATES: June 19 - June 26 - July 10 - July 17 - July 24 These classes will combine a variety of material from both my Mime Composition and Physical Comedy classes. Therefore, in one class you'll get a broad overview of mime technique, mime illusions, non-verbal acting and comedy phrasing. As well, you'll get a chance to experiment when the class culminates with group improvisations based on the material taught that day. Although each single class will focus on a particular subject, each of the five will cover different subjects, enabling you to take one-class, several, or all five and experience a variety of topics ranging from play composition to complex comedy structures. Beyond the Mime and Comedy of it all...these classes will enhance your ability to: - Show your non-verbal thought process. - Separate thought from action. - Increase the power of your stage presence. - Project your emotions across the proscenium. - Understand and compose comedy sequences. - Physically expand your verbal and non-verbal acting. - Create an invisible environment, people and objects. - Make stronger stage entrances and exits. - Make your movement and speaking more musical. - Create a more powerful stillness and stronger physical gestures.
